  • Garrett Leight California Optical

    Garrett Leight California Optical (GLCO) was created in 2010 by L.A native Garrett Leight. Son of Oliver Peoples designer, Larry Leight, Garrett had the desire to develop his own affordable line of eyewear. While attending Cal Poly, he also worked at Urban Optics! GLCO is inspired by coastal living. Each frame is named after a street in Venice Beach, CA.

    Founder, Zachary Tipton, sought inspiration in the corner of his garage where his Dad kept an old collection of vinyl records. Since then, Vinylize has been dedicated to recycling and remastering music into eyewear. Based in Hungary, all Vinylize frames are hand made in Budapest combining vinyl records and acetate plastic to create a unique, one-of-a kind product.

    The name Zero G (for zero gravity) speaks for itself, as Zero G frames feel virtually weightless on the face. Created by Tom Cody, a long-time industry friend, Zero G has quickly become the standard in flat metal sheet design.     In 1959, optician Roger Pouilloux offered to a ski champ the 02 sunglass model as a token of his admiration. The sunglass enabled Jean Vuarnet to improve his performance. They would highlight contrasts and enhance depth perception in the fast downhill skiing. Following his victory, the two men forged a friendship and decided to join forces in creating a brand that embedded their vision: innovation, high-performance, and French elegance. The brand VUARNET was born.
